Using its own pumping system, the Park Hotel Weggis draws water from Lake Lucerne and uses this energy source for heating and air conditioning. In winter the lake water is used to heat the building, and in summer it runs the air conditioning system before being discharged back to the lake.

So by using the water from the lake as a source of heat, the hotel is making a significant contribution to the long-term preservation of resources.
